The Munds Park Trail Stewards (MUTS) had a very productive and muddy August 7th Volunteer Event. The volunteers, along with the Coconino National Forest Trail Crew, did maintenance on the Brad’s Trail. After our task were completed, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch provided by the MUTS volunteer lunch staff.
There has been an increase of construction debris and trash in the Coconino National Forest. If you see someone dumping construction debris or observe trash in the forest, please report the incident to the Coconino National Forest Supervisor's Office (M-F 8 a.m. - 4 P.M.) at 928.527.3600. Provide the location and as much information about the incidence as possible. By the way, the Coconino National Forest Service does not monitor the Munds Park Facebook pages, so the best way to inform the Forest Service is to call them.
The Next MUTS Volunteer Event:
Date: September 11th, Saturday, @ 8:15 a.m.
We will finish our trail work at 1200 P.M.; afterwards a free lunch will be served.
What to bring: Work gloves, facial mask, sturdy shoes, dress for the weather and bring along good
sense of humor. We provide the tools and water.
Please R.S.V.P. via email if you plan on attending the event. We will be abiding by all Coconino National Forest Service safety and health protocols, which includes wearing a mask when social distancing is not possible.
Please visit our website for more information about the MUTS and the trails surrounding the Munds Park community.
